About

Mackenzie Berry is a writer and editor based in Cambridge, MA. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison through the First Wave Program and Goldsmiths, University of London. She earned an MFA in Creative Writing - Poetry from Cornell University, and has taught academic and creative writing at Cornell and Tufts University.

 

Her poems have been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net. Her work has been published in Poetry Ireland Review, Blood Orange Review, Hobart, and Up the Staircase Quarterly, among others. She has been invited to read and perform her work at the National Civil Rights Museum, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America National Keystone Conference, the Open Book Festival in Cape Town, South Africa, and various literary festivals, universities, and bookstores. Her debut poetry collection is Slack Tongue City (Sundress Publications, 2022) and is available for purchase here, via Bookshop.org, or at any bookstore.
